Last week was so lovely. Not just the three days at Ashen Equestrian Centre, which were inspiring, no the whole week was lovely. Mainly because Baggy had her number one furry, Calum, with her every day. It's Monday today, so he went off to work at 6.30am and Baggy may not see him again until Friday. Hormonal Hannah took advantage of her feeling low about this and gave her a massive hot flush, so Baggy decided to stay in bed. Probably not good, but she fell straight back to sleep. Sleep means not having to worry about and miss Calum. Baggy finally got up and took Furry Mama and Minty Mutt for a walk. It's a lovely day and Mint was happy to be out, but Grotty Groom has seriously worn poor Baggy out. Her thigh muscles were "pinging" before she even got halfway round. But she needed to walk to try to calm Hormonal Hannah down a bit. Why? Because everything is getting on top of her again.
1) The land issue at Baggy's Dad's house, not only remains unresolved, but the solicitor doesn't seem to be getting anywhere with it and no matter how many times Clever Bird instructs him, he seems to do something slightly different to what she has requested. Freda Fretter is worried if it will ever be resolved, let alone how much it's costing. She decided to phone and point out that she could not "measure the plot" - if it was that simple, this mess wouldn't exist. Plus there is a full GPS plotted map of the land that the solicitor has had for four years!! And breathe.
2) Once again the Estate Agent managing the house has let Baggy down; not making sure that someone was there so that the Gas systems could be checked. Calum phoned to sort it on Saturday. They were supposed to call Baggy this morning. Guess what - they didn't. Clever Bird called them and tried to keep Hannah calm. And breathe.
3) Clever Bird decided to double check that the tenant would be leaving in time for the roof to be taken off the house in September. This is still not confirmed. And breathe.
4) After Hormonal Hannah totally messing up Baggy's last attempt to attend the stress management course, she is due to start it again tomorrow. This morning the reminder text came. Clever Bird made Baggy read it properly, instead of her usual, "Yes, thanks, I know" thought. It stated that it was at a completely different venue to last time. What? Why? Instantly Hannah had Baggy stressed because she didn't know where the new place was and nearly went to the wrong one. Clever Bird decided to dig out the letter: it clearly states that the meeting is at the previous venue. Cue hot flush. Clever Bird decided to phone and check. The meeting is at the same venue as previously, not the one in the text! No apology! No correct text sent! And breathe.
As Furry Mama dragged Baggy round the walk, she tried to quiet Freda Fretter and Hannah down. She failed. So she decided on a change of tactics: let Baggy have a good blub. She did. Minty Mutt came hurtling back to her to check she was okay. It made her smile and be grateful for how lucky Baggy is - go away pesky stress, Baggy is a strong old bird, she'll get to the course this time and crack how to deal with this ridiculous anxiety..........
