There's no two ways about it, Hormonal Hannah is really causing Baggy problems this week. Last week, apart from causing her hot flushes, Hannah barely made an appearance. This week the blooming woman is bringing Baggy down, but Clever Bird is listening to the advice to keep busy and exercise, given at yesterday's Stress Management course. Baggy took Furry Mama out and let Minty Mutt choose the route - The Thickets.
Clever Bird was pleased that it was pretty dry. Minty wasn't, then he found a nice muddy puddle and cheered up no end. Some things never change, at least it made Baggy smile; The Domestic Goddess just sighed in despair. Funny weather though, it felt more like autumn, then the sun made an appearance and Baggy felt better still.
Hannah made Baggy want to shut herself away again when they got home, but with "Keep busy, face your fears and do some exercise", ringing in her ears, Baggy took Grotty Groom to the yard to see her Boys. She groomed Wessles and had just decided to take him into the manege, when the manager came up to say that the farrier had arrived to do their shoes - well done Clever Bird.
Rather than heading home, grotty persuaded Baggy to stay and chat and drink tea, while the Boys were shod.
Freda Fretter was doing sums in her head, calculating just how much the Boys cost Calum and Baggy, as Grotty tried to work out how she could start looking after them part time again. She spoke to Cal about it and he pointed out that she needed to get better before she added the pressure of doing them, on top of everything else. Not physically better (she's almost there with that), no, he meant mentally better. Clever bird can see his point, she realises that both Hannah and Freda are unsure that Baggy is ready for the responsibility yet, and although it's costing arms, legs and other bits, to have both horses looked after, it's one less thing to worry about, in what seems to be a mountain of things. So Baggy will try to let the guilt go that Grotty's costing Cal and Baggy a fortune; Baggy is alive and well, they have the money to pay for the Boys, and life is too short to be worrying about it at the moment. Both Cal and Baggy agree that they would happily live in a field, in a caravan with the horses and the rest of the furries, rather than give the Boys up. And Calum insists that Baggy's health comes first - yep, she is one lucky old bird. Plus it gives her lots more time to keep busy!
The Domestic Goddess has been washing, cooking and cleaning.
Gloria Gardener has weeded the patio and watered the pots.
Furry Mama has tracked down Jack-the-attack-cat (he was lurking in the greenhouse, when Gloria went to water next door's plants), and risked giving him a cuddle.
Creative Clara has done some more shed painting, written her blog and taken photos of some of her latest purchases for her Etsy shop. She will shortly be adding them to her shop.
Hormonal Hannah hasn't been seen for a while........
