Day 23 is turning into a long one.

Yep Clever Bird, no surprises whatsoever that once again Baggy has overdone it today. How does she know? Lawrence is kicking off again. Or rather as Psychic Ploppo has pointed out, it's Lawrence's ghost that is hurting Baggy. But at least his prodding her has stopped her from overdoing it even more!

Baggy has at least managed to pack her bags for her stay at her sister's after Thursday's surgery. Clever Bird really did have to use her brain for that one. Packing clothes for five days. Simples. No not really. Baggy still can't have anything rubbing on her stomach wound and in any case her stomach is still so swollen that she probably couldn't do her jeans up anyway. She does have the elasticated trousers that Calum bought her a year ago and since Baggy has subsequently lost two-and-a-half stone, they will actually go over the swelling. Then Clever Bird had to consider how Baggy's right arm will be. Loose sleeves required. Then Baggy has to have a vague chance of getting things on and off with just her left hand. Calum will help dress Baggy, as will her sister, but she doesn't particularly want either of them having to re-dress her when she is making one of her dozen a day trips to the loo!

Dresses then. Good plan. Getting tights on and off. Bit of a challenge. Hold-ups then. Let's just hope they do. Onesie for loafing around in. No Clever Bird. Twosie then. Anyway, after about an hour of fighting with her over-stuffed wardrobe Baggy finally had a pile of clothes that might work.

Furry Mama just needs to pack for the dog and that's that organised. Oh hang on Clever Bird, remember the painkillers. And Creative Clara's blog notebook. And the laptop. And a couple of books to read. And, and , for goodness sake it's only five or six days and it's not Outer Mongolia.

The Goddess has the fire going and has vacuumed for the third time today. Logs brought in for later (three at a time rather than five or six). Clever Bird did stop her from bringing in a bag of coal. Not always stupid then. Washing up done. Washing all put away (not ironed, but give us a break this is The Domestic (not a) Goddess that we're talking about. The minute the fire was roaring, Hormonal Hannah decided to give Baggy a massive hot flush, but other than that brief appearance she has been off with Freda Fretter discussing their secret worry-stuff all day, so all is good with the gang......
