This having the operation on the right arm is really hard. Clever Bird just keeps getting Baggy to use it without thinking. So far Baggy has trodden on the metal base of Mint's feed stand with her bare foot. It hurt so much, she whipped her foot up and as a result fell forward. She broke her fall on the kitchen wall using her right hand. OUCH! Abby's boyfriend arrived. Pickle and Mint threw themselves at the front door. Mint was trying to get out, so Furry Mama grabbed him by the ruff on the back of his neck with her right hand and pulled him back. OUCH! Baggy was carrying her book back upstairs. She dropped it. She went to catch it with her right hand. It's a thick heavy book. OUCH! Pickle leapt onto the sofa to be with her Auntie Furry Mama. She nearly sent Baggy's tea flying. Baggy grabbed her with her right hand. OUCH! So now Baggy's arm is really painful again. It would be so much safer to have it in a sling, which is what the Americans are asked to do after this surgery: a plaster cast and sling for six weeks. At least it means you can't use it!
Even through the pain Baggy is letting Creative Clara type occasionally using her right finger. Hopeless. It's so hard not to just do these things automatically. Mind you, putting her brain in gear would be a plan.......
